Agencies are hungry these days and many are willing to offer free insights or thinking or work to show you, the Marketer, the value of what they can bring to the table.

While I would never encourage you to take advantage of Agencies and listen without the potential of seriously considering the firm, if there is the potential of a future change, do listen to what they have to say.

If an Agency has taken the time (or is willing to take the time) to think hard about your business and seemingly is interested in sharing ideas with you, give them a look if you have the time.

It’s the Agencies that talk about themselves and push and sell very overtly that don’t deserve your time.

According to our studies among Marketers, there are few Agencies in the market that are considerate enough to take the time to listen – most just talk and talk and talk about themselves.

So what does this mean for you?

Next time the phone rings or you get an email from an Agency, or you receive a mailing, give it a quick look or listen…and see what they have to say.
