More and more, our marketing agency clients on the RSW/US side of our business are getting involved in marketer-led searches.

While this is all fine and good, I’m guessing running an effective search take marketers a lot of time.

I’m also guessing that lots of the folks you work with have their own ideas about what makes a good firm for your search and are happy to throw agencies your way.

I’ve seen it in the searches we run for our marketer clients at RSW/AgencySearch.

In many of these searches, handfuls of agencies are recommended by the team supporting the marketer and/or their associates, and while these agencies might be great partners, their qualifications simply don’t stack up.

One way to not only speed it up, but to turn your evaluation into a more objective exercise, is to bring someone in that can evaluate the agencies you’re considering using the experience they have in the industry.

I’m not suggesting I manage the search for you. I’m talking about using the criteria you’ve established for the search, and before you even send out the RFP or RFI to complete, let me use my nearly 20 years of experience working with agencies and over 10 years managing agency searches (along with 20 years of experience working in corporate marketing and marketing services) to provide you with an easy-to-read summary of each agency you’re reviewing.

I’ll tell it like I see it (and have seen it).

I won’t tell you who to work with, but I will give you an objective perspective on each marketing agency. I keep the analysis straightforward, offering a simple, easy-to-read/absorb assessment of each agency.

I’ve worked with them all: full-service, digital, performance marketing, PR, media, among others.

I keep my costs reasonable (approximately $500 per agency reviewed and assessed) and deliver at a speed that won’t slow your review down. In fact, my input should speed up the entire process by saving you time on the back end from having to look at too many agencies that simply don’t make sense.

If you’d like to see what the output from a review looks like, let me know and I can send you a sample to review.

So bottom line is if you, the marketer, want to manage a review on your own, fine…have at it. But let me save you some of the time and headache in evaluating firms you’ve brought to the table or those brought to you, let me know.

Give me a call and we can talk through what you’re working with/trying to achieve (513-293-6785) or drop me a line at mark@rswas.com.

Thanks!
