Your marketing agency plays a crucial role in the success of your business.
Consequently, it is important to find a firm that not only meets your specific needs, but has the ability to carry your business forward. If your agency isn’t delivering the way you need them to…and you’ve tried to make changes, then it might be time to look elsewhere. Here are some considerations to help you determine if and when it’s time to look for a new marketing agency.
Do they share your vision?
Your agency must be able to see and live your vision. They need to clearly understand your goals and how you want to reach them. Evaluate the ideas your agency is bringing to the table. Do they seem to match your vision? Are they listening to you?
Do they understand what full integration really means?
Being fully integrated doesn’t just mean you can do just about anything. It means you understand how different traditional and digital platforms interact, how to use platforms to consistently enhance your brand’s equity, and how to balance the right mix…at the right time…to the right consumer. If you feel like your agency just fills the squares on the boxes and doesn’t come to the table with a smart-thinking plan, it might be time to look.
Do they just talk about “likes” and “favorites”?
If success is still measured by the number of “likes” and “favorites” you’re getting…it might be time to look for a new firm. There is so much more out there that your agency should be bringing to the table. The way in which we measure has become so much more sophisticated. The way in which we target has become so much more precise. And the way in which push content is very different today than it was – even just a year ago.
These are just three ways to determine if you need a new advertising agency. I’m certain I could come up with a handful of others.
While I realize that changing agencies can be a big undertaking, but if your business is struggling or you feel like you should be moving further down the line than you are today…ask yourself: “Is my agency bringing me all I need and deserve?” And if the answer is anything but an emphatic “YES!” you might want to give us a call.
