Is Your Agency a Mountain Goat?

Is your agency a Mountain Goat?

We survey you Marketers regularly, and one of the questions we often ask is: please assess your agency’s ability to keep pace with the evolution of digital marketing.

With only 47% of Marketers saying their agency is ahead of the “digital curve”, a lot of agencies aren’t keeping up.

Our Infographic, 8 Animal Traits You Need to Future Proof your Agency, recognizes Mountain Goats for being agile and nimble.

They can often be seen scaling seemingly vertical walls.

Of course this is physical agility; in our world it’s the intellectual, creative and even emotional agility that’s critical.

So why is being “like a mountain goat” important to Future-Proofing your own agency?

One reason is, with so much changing in the digital space these days, it’s critically important that your agency not only know what new technologies and other platforms are out there, but it’s important for them to know how to apply them.

Simply chasing shiny objects isn’t going to move your business ahead.  Knowing how to bring them to life in a way that can move your business forward will.

Another reason is, your world is changing and the needs and demands on your agency will likely not remain constant, so your agency partner needs to be able to adapt.  They need to be able to shift from being a great creative provider to being a great business strategist and then back again…maybe multiple times a day.  Having the resources at your agency and the agility to be able to move with the needs of your business is key.

And a final reason why they need to be nimble and agile is because if they don’t, there are a ton of other agencies out there who can be.  In today’s marketing agency world, there are a lot of firms itching to work on your business and who are great at zigging and zagging right along with you.

So if you need a new agency who can be more nimble and agile to meet the needs of your business, email us!
